Children reminded miners at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine of the importance of industrial safety with drawings

A children's drawing competition, "Safety through the Eyes of Children," was held at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine, a branch of Kuzbass Fuel Company JSC, to mark World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

Entries for the competition were accepted on three main themes: "Safe Cutting," "PPE – My Protection," and "Occupational Safety Through the Eyes of Children." The competition committee members recognized all submitted entries as excellent visual aids.
The competition's design involved children of the mine's employees not only creating creative works on a serious and important topic, but also, through the exhibition of these works, helping to raise awareness of the issue of personal safety at work among the coal mining company's employees.

"We decided to hold this competition primarily to prevent industrial injuries. So that our specialists could, together with children, refresh their memory on basic workplace safety rules. While miners are accustomed to seeing information boards on occupational safety, children's drawings evoke a greater emotional response. "We thank all participants and will certainly present them with commemorative gifts for their creative work," said Alexey Zelenin, Deputy Technical Director for Occupational Health and Safety at JSC KTK.
